Souhrn apod.:	The thesis "A Comparison of the Attractiveness of Cohabitation and Marriage" examines various forms and models of intimate relationships as well as intimate relationships themselves, their phases and elements. It also studies historical development of relationships from marriage towards new forms such as cohabitation, its types, advantages and disadvatages and reasons for the development. Furthermore, the thesis studies marriage, advantages and disadvantages of marriage and reasons leading to marriage. We investigate the legal framework for both of the relationship forms. The objective of this thesis is to expose and compare various forms of intimate relationships and to try to answer the questions: Why do an increasing number of couples prefer cohabitation?
