| Souhrn apod.: | This bachelor thesis deals with assessing the needs of children within OSPOD focusing on children who have experienced the CAN syndrome - syndrome of abused and neglected child. The aim of this study was to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience and show the methodology LUMOS. First, I pointed out the legal basic concerning this problem. Then I explained the concepts related to the topic and presented the needs of children. I defined the evaluation process. The information that I used for this bachelor work, were I taken from the methodology LUMOS - Practical guide to evaluating the needs of children. This publication is used at the Social Affairs Department of the Municipal Office Tutnov, where I had a placement for one month. I gathered all the information and case histories, which I used there. At the end of this work were used practical knowledge of the Social Affairs Department of the Municipality Tutnov. The present case report obtained in Turnov contain information from the theoretical part of the chapter assessing the needs of children.
