| Souhrn apod.: | This bachelor thesis called "Primary School Pupils' Awareness of Child Protection Department (OSPOD) Work" maps the level of knowledge of pupils of the second grade of the elementary school about the mission and activities of OSPOD. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains five chapters dealing with the definition of family, the important needs of the child, the development of the status of the child in the family, the legislative anchoring of child and family protection and the system providing social and legal protection for children in the Czech Republic. The last chapter is dedicated to the description of OSPOD activities, its mission and the way in which the rights of children and their parents are protected from the position of this body. In the empirical part, a survey of the pupils' basic knowledge about the work of OSPOD is carried out and evaluated. The aim is to find out, by means of a questionnaire survey, if these students are aware of OSPOD activities, whether they know what their mission is, who can turn to them, and where and on what matters they could turn to that authority themselves.
